- Teen Volunteers Needed! March 6 - April 24. If you like working with children, enjoy reading, and want to help struggling readers, we need you! GVPL hosts a reading program that pairs teen volunteers aged 13-18 with younger children to participate in paired reading and fun reading based activities for one hour per week. Registration begins January 5. Call individual branches for more information. The program runs for eight weeks on Saturday afternoons at the following libraries; Bruce Hutchison Branch • 250-727-0104; Oak Bay Branch • 250-592-2489; Saanich Centennial Branch • 250-477-9030. Training Sessions for New Volunteers: Wednesday, March 3, 4:00-5:00 pm Saanich Centennial Branch; Thursday, March 4, 4:00-5:00 pm Bruce Hutchison Branch; Friday, March 5, 4:00-5:00 pm Oak Bay Branch • Register online at www.gvpl.ca
