The Schizophrenia Society of Alberta is a registered non-profit charity whose goal is to improve the quality of life of those affected by schizophrenia through education, support programs, public policy and research.
We are currently seeking volunteers for the days of Friday, September 10 - Sunday, September 12 to aid in our annual Open Minds Walk & Run. Please be aware that not all days are required and that any help is greatly appreciated. The available volunteer positions are:
•site set up (Saturday, September 11th)
•pre-registration at 109 St Running Room location (Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 11th)
•registration on event day (Sunday, September 12th)
•race marshaling (Sunday, September 12th)
•cycling in-front or behind runners (Sunday, September 12th)
•line monitoring (Sunday, September 12th)
•cheer teams on race track - great for groups! (Sunday, September 12th)
•cooking and serving (Sunday, September 12th)
•general clean up (Sunday, September 12th)
This is a great opportunity to get your family and friends involved in a good cause, as well as to enjoy what is left of summer weather with the free BBQ.
